The Israeli Society for HealthTech's Fellowship program
Program Team: Hedva Voliovitch MD, PhD, MBA; Noah Liel-Cohen MD
Objective: Enabling physicians to take on leadership roles within the Israeli healthtech ecosystem
About the Program:
This year-long fellowship begins with a two-week introductory course that familiarizes the fellows with key topics such as regulation, entrepreneurship, and ethics, medical devices, digital health, and pharmaceutics.
Delivered by experts actively engaged in these fields, this foundational course sets the stage for the program. It is followed by two five-month rotations at healthtech companies where fellows gain hands-on exposure to major technological and managerial aspects of healthtech business and actively participate in ongoing projects.
Each participant is guided by a dedicated physician mentor throughout the year.
Importantly, fellows continue their clinical work during the program, and are expected to do so after completing the fellowship. This approach ensures they can effectively integrate clinical practice with innovation in their daily work.
The fellowship aims to empower participants to incorporate healthtech into their clinical expertise, fostering national efforts to advance healthtech adoption and drive innovation.
The Israeli Society for HealthTech also offers and develops additional training programs for key stakeholders in the future of healthcare.
The Fellowship program is recognized by the Israeli Medical Association (IMA) and its Scientific Council.
